A #FreshStepFebreze Experiment! — 4 Comments

  1. I have always heard to steer clear of any Febreze products (fabric softener, deodorizing sprays, etc.) because of all the chemicals in them. Given that our cats likely ingest some litter in the grooming process, and are inhaling the scent, are you comfortable that this product is safe?

    • Hi, Cheryl.

I haven’t seen anything to indicate this product is any less safe than any other clay clumping litter product, and I’ve been using Fresh Step for years and years without issue. Actually, this is the first time I’ve ever tried a new litter. The kitties have been using it for a couple of weeks now and actually prefer it over their usual litter.

I think it’s worth giving a try if you’re interested in some aspect of it. Neither the odor control nor the scent matter that much to me since I scoop so often (and my kitties are, of course, raw-fed, so I deal with substantially less litter box odor than most anyway), but I’m definitely interested in a reduced dust product (which is why I reviewed this one).

Then let your kitties guide you! 🙂
