Just how does kibble clean your kitty’s teeth? — 6 Comments

  1. Yup. There is this big disconnect. Lots of dental disease. Lots of kibble ingested. So, how can kibble possibly be keeping pets’ teeth clean….hmmmm???

  2. I’ve had many kitty pets over 30 or more years…..no vet has ever told me about the detrimental effect dry cat food had on their teeth. I think this is irresponsible because we trust our vets. Cleaning costs $800 or more per treatment, and requies pets to be under general anesthesia for an hour. Vets should lead the charge against starch in dry pet food. Something is terribly wrong!

  3. I’ve had 5 cats so far in my lifetime…all fed both wet and dry food…only ONE of which who has gingivitis, he’s under 2 years old, so most likely stomatitis or juvenile gingivitis. Yea guess it’s the dry food….
