My Journey to Raw: Desperate times call for desperate measures. — 3 Comments

  1. I have an update to this story. At the time I wrote it Mazy was still on 50/50 raw/one type of canned. Three weeks ago I went to 80/20 raw/canned. The difference is phenomenal.

She has not regurgitated once, not once, since going more than three quarters raw. I guess we all know what the next step is, but with Mazy cat, any change has to be slow. Mazy cat needs certified organic NON-GMO foods. They are not easy to find.

  2. Mazy cat has been 100% raw since March 6. She still struggles with regurgitation but otherwise she is the picture of perfect health. You’d never know she is 12 years old. Her coat is phenomenal, her energy level is incredible. Queen Eva, at not quite 6 years old, can barely keep up with her. Queen Eva is also 100% raw now. Jennie will be, when the rest of the canned is used up. For now she remains about 50/50 with all raw on Sundays.

  3. Just realized I need to update this again. Mazy cat went all raw in February 2016. Queen Eva in March 2016 and Jennie in August 2016. All three cats are 100% raw fed. I use a combination of commercial products, home prepared prey model, (Jennie is the only cat who eats whole bone) and muscle meat with a meat completer (Food Fur Life’s EZcomplete)
