Good Morning, Ralph!
This morning I woke up about a half hour before the alarm was set to go off. Sometime during the night, my sweet rescue boy, Ralph, had hopped onto the bed and joined me on my pillow, and I awoke to the feel of his warm body against my face and the gentle rumble of his soothing purr. Angled towards me from the head of the bed, the soft fur of his neck was positioned perfectly for me to sleepily rub my chin against. Immediately, Ralph’s purr doubled and he began kneading.
Let me remind you… he’s angled downward and towards me. His neck and head are by my chin and throat. Picture that. Now where do you suppose he’s sweet little paws, with those not-so-sweet little claws, are resting?
I went from a warm and delightful drowse to a full-blown, “Yeow!!!!” in the nano-second of time it took Ralph to flex those ten sharp tiny claws.
I’m sure Ralph thinks I’m some kind of psycho for screaming in his ear in the middle of such a “lovely” moment, but sheez, what a hell of a way to start my day. *facepalm*

Ohhh you poor thing! I am sure Ralph didn’t mean to do that but what a way to wake up! Cody sometimes is overzealous when making biscuits and those claws can hurt! Have a great day!
Thanks, Caren! I think the worst was how totally unexpected it was. I don’t blame him, but I’m sure he was offended – he’s boycotted the bed the last two nights. LOL
